About Us

               My first passion was horses, and the years I spent as a competitive rider have helped me to understand important elements such as balance, movement and structure.

               Our lives turned "Labrador" when our foundation bitch Kelly (Ch Folklaur Moonlite) became part of our family.  We immediately fell in love with the breed and have been hooked ever since.  All Feather Downs puppies are thoughtfully bred and lovingly raised in our home. We are devoted to raising beautiful, healthy, well balanced and socialized Labradors.

               As a veterinarian technician for the past 20 years and an obedience instructor for animal control, I have developed a keen understanding for animal health and behavior. This has greatly helped me in my hobby today.  Our love of this breed led us to learn as much as possible about good breeding practices and for us that has become an ongoing endeavor. We are passionately striving to improve and produce the best breed representatives that we humanly can. 
              

               Our Labradors have their Hips and Elbows OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) tested as well as the Eyes Cleared from inheritable eye Disorders. This is done by a Board Certified Veterinary of Ophthalmologist (AVCO).   The tests that have been done on all breeding stock is carefully reviewed several generations back on each side. All of our  pet puppies that go as family companions are sold on the AKC Limited Registration.
